Just over three hours away lives a long distance hiking trail nearly half the length if the Appalachian Trail. The Ice Age Trail resides all within the State of Wisconsin and is just over 1,100 miles.
This month along with a local hiking bud plan to tackle one of the closest section to Illinois. While we only plan on tackling 30 miles, I am very excited to start knocking off some mileage of this long trail. Many kudos to the Ice Age Trail Alliance, their staff and their county chapter volunteers who took time to talk to me and help us plan and who will be proving us a shuttle. Stay tuned here for more updates on our hike prior to and a full trip report after we complete the section. Keep hiking forward. Scott

Finally got the opportunity to take the whole family up Monadnock on our summer vacation. The mountain I love and where I proposed to my bride on is now apart of our family memories. So proud of our girls and family for making it up and down. Grace and Gabby are great little mountain climbers. If are in New Hampshire you have to check this mountain out.
