I'm a proud father, husband and Eagle Scout who loves the outdoors and all it provides me. I started Hiking Forward in 2011 a place for me to store outdoor hopes and dreams for myself and my family. Quickly the premise of always hiking forward in not only on the trail but also in life caught on and soon Hiking Forward had a following.
Since the beginning of creating this sight I have enjoyed creating every post, conversing with my followers and sharing my adventures and thoughts.
I have always stated that I am not an expert in any particular area of the outdoors, but rather just a regular guy willing to share my thoughts, experiences and ideas with all of you.
Recently, Hiking Forward has led to the creation of Gear Forward. Gear Forward is a non-profit organization aimed at outfitting youth in need of outdoor gear. The outdoor gear is supplied by donations from the outdoor community at-large as well as retailers and manufacturers. Gear Forward has no doubt minimized the frequency from which I am posting on Hiking Forward, yet has not taking away its special place in my soul. Those of us who understand the importance of the outdoors, no matter what is going on we will always crave it, and strive once again to adventure on. Right now... Giving back is the focus, because I am fortunate to have had the amazing outdoor experiences so far in my life. Hiking forward I will, while continuing to give back in return.
